The National Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Action (NEEREA) is a national financing mechanism initiated by the Central Bank of Lebanon in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Finance, UNDP, the European Union (EU), and the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC). Projects aiming for LEED or BREEAM Certification, as well as New & Old buildings that have integrated green and energy efficiency measures (ECMs), are all suitable for consideration under this mechanism.
In accordance, a nearly 1% loan could be accorded to these projects with a repayment period ranging from 4 to 10 years beginning after a grace period ranging from 6 months to 4 years. The amount of loan requested could reach 45% of the project’s cost!
Our team at SEEDS has the full knowledge, qualifications and expertise to carry out the submittal process, as already done from our side on several projects in Lebanon where a continuous and successful coordination with LCEC has been taking place.
